White Oak Bark Organic
White Oak Bark Organic, which comes from the Quercus alba tree, is ready for purchase in both cut and sifted as well as powdered forms. The Quercus alba is a hardwood tree native to the Eastern United States whose wood resists rot; certain of this wood is commonly used for making wine barrels. The bark of the tree is grey to white colored and has a tendency to peel off the tree. It also goes by the common name of Tanner’s bark because it contains Tannin.
White Oak Bark Organic may help with dysentery and chronic diarrhea. It may also have antiseptic and astringent qualities, and has been used in herbal medicine traditions as a tonic to slowly and generally improve health. White Oak Bark Organic should not be used on broken skin, however.
