Buckthorn Bark Organic
Buckthorn Bark Organic is the outer bark of the alder buckthorn tree—known by botanists as Rhamnus frangula. It is a deciduous shrub with fruits that change from red to black.
The bark of organic Rhamnus frangula is somewhat sweet, yet slightly bitter, though with little odor. The bark is stripped from younger plants in spring and early summer and then dried for up to two years before cut into bulk herbal medicines as a mild cathartic.
